5TYLO MILE-O Run FAQs

  1. What is included with my 5TYLO MILE-O Run registration?
All runners get #1 an exclusive 5TYLO MILE-O Runners’ Dri-Fit T-Shirt (shirt sizes depend on availability), #2 a 5TYLO MILE-O Run Bib, #3 a Finishers’ Souvenir, and #4 a Goodie Bag containing cool items from our sponsors!

  2. How do I collect them?
You have to collect your 5TYLO MILE-O Runners’ Dri-Fit T-Shirt AND Run Bib before the event at the following collection times and venues.

    Collection @ NTU, LT1A
    14 & 15 August
    4:00pm to 7:00pm

Collection @ the Padang, Multi-Purpose Court (Nearest MRT - City Hall)
    14 August
    6:00pm to 9:00pm

If you are unable to collect the T-Shirt and Run Bib on the above collection dates, you may authorize someone else to collect on your behalf by using the authorisation letter.

The Finishers’ Souvenir and Goodie Bag on the other hand have to be collected in person on the event day itself, after the run. Unfortunately, Goodie Bags and souvenirs not collected will be deemed as forfeited.

  3. Can I sign up with my parents/BFFs/darling?
Need we say more? Though there are no group or couple categories, we definitely encourage you to spend the amazing day with those who matter!

  4. Can I run with a jogging stroller and my kids?
All children 3 years old and under can run with an adult FREE of charge and do not need to register! It is not recommended to bring a jogging stroller, however, as there are some steps along the route (you may choose to piggyback instead).

  5. Can I bring my pet?
To ensure the safety of our runners and animal friends, no animals are allowed at the run.

  6. Is The 5TYLO MILE-O Run timed?
No. But go ahead and challenge your limits!

  7. Is there a dress code?
Come in your ‘stylo-milo’ (Singapore slang: stylish; fashionable) retro outfit in the spirit of crazy fun! Experiment with cool dressing styles of the 70s and 80s. Running shoes and run bibs are necessary.

  8. Can I take selfies along the route?
Yes! Do keep a look out for our official photographer(s) as well as oncoming runners!

  9. Will there by hydration or food provided along the route?
Noting the hot weather recently, there will be sufficient hydration points located along the route as well as on the Padang itself! For finger food cravings or a hearty meal, you can find them at the carnival! Carnival tickets can be bought at the Padang on the day itself.

  10. What if it rains?
If the rain is light, the run will continue! However, if the rain is heavy or lightning risk is expected, the run may be cancelled or stopped. Our friendly motivators will be trained to direct you to the nearest shelter.

  11. What if there is haze?
If the haze isn’t too bad, the run will continue, and masks will be handed out for runners who require them (priority will be given to children and elderly). If the haze reaches unhealthy levels, the run may be cancelled or stopped. We will be announcing any such decision by 16 August 2014, 7.00 am via our Facebook page, the website and email to all registered runners.

  12. I am going for the Kpop concert. Will I be in time to collect my Mosh Pit Pass and queue up for the best views?
Yes, but it depends! We have dedicated counters to issue the Mosh Pit Passes at the goodie bag collection booth. We reckon that if you come back from the run within 1 hour (it’s just 4.8km!), you are in good time.

  13. Are there refunds?
Unfortunately, we are not able to issue refunds. The logistics of setting up and planning the event make it impossible. Just make sure you are good to go before signing up. If for some reason you are not able to join the run on that day, we welcome you to join the carnival and enjoy the concert programme lined up for you!

  14. What if I have a ‘beri-good’ (Singapore slang: very good) question that isn’t answered here?
Kindly write to ntufest-walkathon@ntu.edu.sg with your name and gender, and we will get back to you shortly. If your question is ‘tok kong’ (Singapore slang: superb) enough, we might even publish it right here on the official 5TYLO MILE-O Run FAQ page.
