  • Dr Hua Guang

    Guang Hua received his B.Eng. degree in Communication Engineering from Wuhan University (WHU), China, in 2009, and his Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 2014. He was a Research Fellow with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, NTU (2015–2016), and later an Associate Professor with the School of Electronic Information, WHU (2017–2022). He also served as an International Scholar Exchange Fellow at Yonsei University, South Korea (2020–2021), sponsored by the CHEY Institute for Advanced Studies.

    Dr Hua has held research positions at the Institute for Infocomm Research (I²R), A*STAR, Singapore, as Scientist (2013–2015) and Senior Scientist (2022–2023). He is currently an Associate Professor with the Infocomm Technology (ICT) Cluster at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).

    He has been Principal Investigator for two NSFC-funded projects in China and multiple industry projects. His research interests include AI security, media security, and statistical signal processing, with publications in IEEE TPAMI, TIFS, TSP, TASLP, TNNLS, TCSVT, CVPR, ICASSP, WIFS, NDSS, and other leading venues. He holds a licensed Singapore patent and a transferred Chinese patent in media forensics.

    Dr Hua is a Senior Member of the IEEE and serves as Senior Area Editor for IEEE Signal Processing Letters.
