This introductory course on Powder X-ray Diffraction (XRD) will cover the fundamentals of the crystalline state, the principles of X-ray interaction with crystalline materials, and practical guidance on conducting X-ray diffraction experiments. The course will also include tips and tricks for successful experimentation and introduce the basics of data analysis. Additionally, the session will discuss various applications of XRD in research.
This talk will be presented by Dr. Konstantin Sakharov. He currently conducts user training on powder XRD machines at FACTS and has a research focus on three-dimensional and layered perovskite-type chalcogenides, as well as in-situ XRD measurements.
