Plastics Upcycling using Renewable Energy (PURE)

Although polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is widely produced and can be readily collected, less than 10% is recycled. In this presentation, we will discuss our team’s technology that can exploit renewable energy to create a dual closed-loop and open-loop chemical recycling process for PET. Closed-loop recycling converts the PET back into PET, whereas open-loop recycling upcycles the components into value-added specialty chemicals. Our dual approach allows us to add value to part of the monomers to improve the overall economic viability.

Clinically Effective Scar Treatment via a siRNA Transdermal Gene Silencing Technology: From Bench to Bedside and Beyond

Breaking new ground in scar treatment, Singapore-based RNAscence Biotechnology unveils BioRNA antiscar patch, a Class A Medical Device registered under Singapore Health Sciences Authority (FDA Class 1 equivalent). Its siRNA transdermal gene silencing technology sets a new standard, achieving 35% better scar reduction compared to silicone patch demonstrated in a clinical study. Launched in April 2024, it has rapidly gained traction in Singapore and overseas including Europe, USA, Australia, Soutt Korea and China, with more than 60000 units sold with a strong pattern of repeat orders. Prof Tan will share his journey from ideation to development and commercialization of this first-in-class scar product.

Strategies to Bring China innovation Into Emerging Markets

Innovation coming from China has been a hot topic in the past years, In addition to bridging these innovations to US and Europe markets via Licensing deals with big pharma or NewCo with Investors, There are also robust ways to bring these late-stage innovations into the emerging markets. The path to market is not as clear as for other major markets, but there are efficient and creative ways to provide access to those novel medications.

Life Without Borders – Challenges and Breakthroughs in CGT Global Cross-Border Drug Supply

This presentation examines how cell and gene therapies can cross borders despite stringent timing, temperature, customs, documentation, and local-operability requirements. It outlines supply-chain models for personalized and off-the-shelf products, and presents IASO Bio case studies covering commercial imports from Hong Kong and Singapore and a clinical import from Japan into China. It concludes by introducing an AI-enabled platform for route simulation, real-time logistics, customs management, capacity planning, and risk response to make patient access less dependent on geography.

From Standard to Street: How SS 644:2025 Enables Safe Medication Delivery at Scale

Singapore's SS 644 was the world's first national standard for the supply and delivery of medication. Its 2025 revision extends the scope to controlled drugs, defines in-transit conditions, introduces authorisation-to-leave, and strengthens documentation and exception management. Mr New Soon Tee traces the standard's development and key revisions, then shows what compliance looks like in practice — drawing on Pick Network's nationwide locker trial with public healthcare institutions, including temperature data, delivery outcomes and lessons for operators.
